Sprained ankle is the understatement of the century! He tore his outer ankle ligament, cracked an anterior ligament and damaged damaged the capsule of his anklejoint in generel, resulting in a convalescence time of almost 4 months, without a surgical treatment. Considering the degree of the injury, that was already incredible!
Jana absolutely relentlessly exposing the weak spot in Monica's game - the low slice ball to Monica's forehand. Because of her extreme grips, Monica had trouble getting to grips withthe low skidding bounce on the forehand
Both players were viewed as having an outside chance of winning that French Open. Goellner had played spectacular tennis a few weeks earlier in Nice, beating Edberg and Lendl on his way to the title. Medvedev had won in Estoril and Barcelona, beating Bruguera in both tournaments.
Connors just wasn’t that good.
100 % MALE
When it happens to me to look at these videos, well, I just cannot help remembering how exciting was the 'serve n' volley'; of which Pat Rafter, together with some colleagues of his, was really super. So, what can we do? Maybe ask Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, with the beneplacito of Robert Zemeckis, to borrow the machine used for "Back to the Future?" Maybe! It'd be a solutioni!!!
A very noble sport. Bravo.
❤❤❤❤❤ Arantxa ❤❤❤❤❤
Leconte était capable de tout...d'où la légende 👍
Quel moment fort pour le sport français. Le tennis n est pas aussi populaire que le foot mais c est aussi fort que France 98
Agassi ended up having a fairly decent title defense (lost in Quarters to eventual Champion Sampras in 5 Sets, the "Streisand" match) at Wimbledon that year.
😮
oh i remember this game, the best match i have ever seen so far Muster was a beast on clay
complete match
6:0 6:3 6:0 for Becker😂But thereafter was finished!

Ce jour là Henri jouait dans la zone où rien ne peut t'arriver en communion avec le public. Ah la coupe Davis que d'émotions que nous ne connaitrons plus😢
Ça aurait été bien d'avoir plus d'un point contre Becker.
Pete was not too bad.

This was a Pretty Big Upset that year Maleeva coming in to a Grand Slam with her Highest Seeding Ever @ #6 Excluding the Australian Open, where she lost in the 1st round, she played in 6 tournaments b4 the French - She won 1 , Reached 2 Finals , and 3 Semifinals - she was one if the hottest players on Clay that year - Reached The Finals at Hilton Head and German Open , Semis at Amelia Island and Hamburg and then loses in the Second Round to Tauziat, who was never known for her clay court prowess, who then lost to Virginia Ruano Pascual in straight sets in the next round - Seriously
Commentaires de connards incompétents...
While I became a big Sampras fan later, I remember being excited for Henry and Guy
❤❤
😅😅😅😅😅
A really bizarre match full of very abrupt changes in momentum, with both players taking turns to lose form. As one of the commentators said at the time, it was hard to know "what was happening or why it was happening" in this match. Arantxa winning the first 6 games, then Steffi winning the next 4. In the third set, Arantxa had a point to go up a double break at 2-0 but couldn't convert. Steffi said after the match that even though she lost the first set 6-0 like in 1991, she felt much better than she had in that match. She finally managed to win by cutting down her errors, while Arantxa seemed to get slightly tired.
Andre is the Best !!🎾❤️
